Drive in. Freak out.
We know, we know: 2020 is a complete horrorshow as it is. However, perhaps a series of spine-chilling (most importantly, fictional) horror films can temporarily distract you from the existential, pitch-black dread that is reality. Coming in clutch this spooky season is Aut—O—Rama drive-in theater, which will be hosting a Month Of Terror movie series to provide you with all the ghostly entertainment that you deserve this halloween season.
This October, you can get your chills and thrills at the Aut-O-Rama Drive-in Theatre in North Ridgeville, a mere 30-minute drive outside Cleveland. On every weekend this month, the theatre is screening a double-feature horror special on two separate screens. One of the two will be reserved for kids, families, and squeamish.
Box office opens at 7:30 pm nightly. The movies are broadcast in stereo over FM radio. For a little extra sound punch, you can rent on of their boom boxes for $8.50 in the concession stand. Due to the circumstances surrounding the pandemic, the drive-in is temporarily allowing outside food and drinks. In addition, the drive-in has implemented a number of other safety regulations to ensure guests are safe, including:
- mandatory masks at the box office, concession stand, restroom, and anywhere you can’t maintain 6 feet of social distancing outside the car
- reduced capacity
- contactless payment
- no refills from concession stands
- only persons from same household can be in vehicle together
