A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
Think of it, an evening dedicated to celebrating the evocative melodies of Halloween classics that continue to equally fascinate us and torment our dreams! Take Bernard Herrmann’s iconic composition of the Psycho theme song. You feel a sense of impending doom through the haunting combination of piercing violin strings that feel like knife stabs and dissonant harmonies.
Similarly, Sain-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre” is a symbolic representation of the universality of death, and features death playing a fiddle to summon the dead from their graves, a piece filled with orchestral effects that further enhance its eerie nature. There are many legendary compositions that fill our hearts with dread, which will be performed by the talented Listeso String Quartet at the Maltz Performing Arts Center.
Switch things up this Halloween and relive some of the most terrifying on-screen moments at a dimly lit venue with lots of history and charm. The concert will start at 8:30pm and take place over the course of 65 minutes. Doors open one hour prior to the concert start time and seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis in each section.
